About IEDS

IEDS was founded Dr. Herman Sabath, who has been an expert in environmental health for more than 25 years. He has been a professor at numerous colleges, served as the Master Trainer and Science Advisor at the National Asbestos & Environmental Training Institute, and contributed to or published multiple textbooks and technical handbooks on mold, bacteria, and indoor air quality. As a state-licensed Mold Assessor and Council-certified Microbial Consultant, Dr. Sabath has also spent time in the courtroom as an expert witness.
