About IEDS

IEDS was founded by Dr. Herman Sabath, an environmental health expert for more than 25 years. He has taught at multiple colleges, served as the Science Advisor and Master Trainer at the National Asbestos & Environmental Training Institute, and published a wide range of textbooks and technical handbooks on the topics of indoor air quality, mold, and bacteria. Dr. Sabath is a Council-certified Microbial Consultant and a state-licensed Mold Assessor. He has also served as an expert witness in multiple lawsuits.
